Business looking to expand or relocate can take
advantage of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport’s
Industrial Airpark. Located in the heart of the City’s
Uptown Business District just minutes from Downtown,
the Industrial Airpark offers easy access to I-95,
the Florida Turnpike and many of Fort Lauderdale’s
most popular attractions.
Zoning and Amenities
Executive Airport’s 200-acre Industrial Airpark
offers more than 1.5 million square feet of prime
office, warehouse and manufacturing space. The property
is zoned Airport Industrial Park (formerly M-1-A
industrial zone), which allows for offices; light,
clean industrial; manufacturing; regional wholesale
and industrial distribution centers; and hotels.
The Industrial Airpark is situated in a campus-like
setting that is surrounded by the City’s Uptown
Business District which includes an additional 4
million square feet of commercial business space.
In addition to the industrial Airpark’s existing
space, Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport offers businesses
the opportunity to lease land for build-to-suit development
to meet a variety of corporate facilities needs.
Development
During the next five years, development is planned
for nearly 50 acres of vacant property in the Industrial
Airpark. Upon completion, the area will offer more
than 500,000 square feet of Class “A” office
and warehouse space to meet the growing demand for
corporate facilities in the City’s Uptown Business
District.
Foreign Trade Zone
The Industrial Airpark is part of the City of Fort
Lauderdale Foreign Trade
Zone #241, which offers
businesses numerous economic incentives. Companies
located in the Foreign-Trade Zone can reduce, defer
or even eliminate costly U.S. Customs duties or excise
taxes associated with importing products, making
these companies financially stronger and more competitive.
