Information Regarding Street Closures in the City of Fort Lauderdale
>> On Saturday, February 6, a high volume of traffic and long delays should be expected on all barrier island roadways, especially A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard. Delays should also be expected on the 17th Street Causeway and Las Olas Boulevard.
>> SE 5th Street will be closed all day on Saturday, February 6.
>> On Saturday, February 6, the east lane of A1A northbound will be closed from Fort Lauderdale Beach Park to D.C. Alexander Park (SE 5th Street) to accommodate shuttle bus loading from 9pm to midnight.
>> I-95 will have one SOUTHBOUND lane closed from Broward
Boulevard to the I-595 entrance ramp on the north side of the New
River Bridge overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday night, Feb. 8,
and Wednesday night, Feb. 10, and from Broward to Davie Boulevards
Thursday night, Feb. 11. The Broward Boulevard entrance ramp to
I-95 SOUTHBOUND will be closed to all traffic Tuesday night,
Feb. 9, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. The I-95 SOUTHBOUND connector
ramp to I-595 WESTBOUND will have one lane closed Wednesday
night, Feb. 10, from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
>> The Henry Kinney Tunnel on S. Federal Highway (U.S.1) south of
Broward Boulevard in downtown Fort Lauderdale will be closed
overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to all NORTHBOUND traffic Tuesday
night, Feb. 9, and to all SOUTHBOUND traffic Wednesday night,
Feb. 10.
>> The Las Olas Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort
Lauderdale will have a lane closed IN ONE DIRECTION AT A TIME
from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, through Friday, Feb. 12.
>> Grenada from A1A to the west property line of the Westin property (approximately 300') is temporarily closed. The road should be reopened by 02/08/10.
>> The SW 11th Avenue Swing Bridge is closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for approximately
one year to undergo a complete overhaul and rehabilitation. The bridge is anticipated to reopen mid-August 2010. See detour plan map .
>> Work is continuing on improvements to S.R. A1A (N Ocean Boulevard) from NE 18th Street (north of Birch State Park) to Oakland Park Boulevard. Traffic will be impacted by the closure of one lane at a time between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., weekdays. This project is expected to be completed by March 2010.
