Bank of America Starlight Musicals

Description:

Each Friday, the City of Fort Lauderdale proudly presents the Bank of America Starlight Musicals concert series. These FREE outdoor concerts provide a great way to enjoy the summer with family and friends. Now celebrating its 34th year, the Bank of America Starlight Musicals will take place on Friday evenings from June 15 to August 3, 2012. The shows are held from 7 to 10 pm on the football field at Holiday Park, located at East Sunrise Boulevard and Federal Highway. Residents and visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets, and coolers. Please remember that pets are not permitted in the park. The Bank of America Starlight Musicals will feature an exciting lineup of bands ranging from rhythm and blues to tropical rock. The scheduled performers for 2012 are: 2012 Entertainment Schedule June 15 - Shadow Creek (Country) June 22 - Curbstone (Rock ‘n’ Roll) June 29 - Jimmy Stowe & the Stowaways (Tropical Rock & Jimmy Buffet) July 6 – Flavor (Motown Rhythm & Blues) July 13 – Viva (Classic Rock 'n' Roll) July 20 – Valerie Tyson Band (Rhythm & Blues) July 27 – Brat Pack (80’s Rock & Dance) August 3 - Brass Evolution (Show Band) Each week Bank of America will feature a non-profit group to raise awareness of their program and goals. In addition, throughout the 2012 Starlight Musicals series, we will be holding pet and people food drives to benefit The Pantry & Food for the Poor and Abandoned Pet Rescue. Patrons are encouraged to bring a food item each week for a person or a pet.
