Part 2, Section III: Summary

This report provides a summary of the CAP initiative, including why a new approach is needed to address community needs, how the CAP areas have been identified and prioritized, what elements the CAP initiative will address and how we can transition from today into the future.

Emphasized in this report is a change in the way we are currently responding to community needs, with the focus being proactive community input and collaboration of public and private initiatives. The goals of the CAP are to be achieved by community consensus, City Commission endorsement and implementation through the four branches of City government.
