Letter from the Mayor
Welcome!
On behalf of the City Commission, I welcome you
to our website. We are pleased to take advantage
of this newest of mediums to communicate with our
citizens and visitors. 
As you scan through our pages, I hope you learn
more about the City of Fort Lauderdale and the services
we provide to our residents. We also want you to
discover what makes Fort Lauderdale special. Known
as "The Venice of America," our 165 miles of
navigable inland waterways, world famous beach, and
new downtown Riverwalk are just some of the elements
that make us proud to live in what is recognized
as one of America's most livable cities.
Our website is designed to provide you with current
City information as quickly as possible. Each day
it seems we are learning more about how the Internet
can help us to better serve you. It is our goal to
take advantage of new developments in cyberspace.
