CRA Redevelopment Plan

Originally approved in 1995, and amended in 2001, the Community Redevelopment Plan for the Northwest-Progresso-Flagler Heights (NPF) Area, outlines a series of public and private improvements within the district. The plan includes funding mechanisms, including the use of tax increment funds to implement proposed redevelopment plan objectives and activities.

The Plan is designed to further the goals, objectives and policies of the City of Fort Lauderdale Comprehensive Plan: Future Land Use Element. Redevelopment plan objectives include facilitating desirable redevelopment activities through innovative land development regulation techniques, the development of a mixed-use zoning overlay, design guidelines and development standards unique to the area and the encouragement and expansion of employment and housing opportunities for low and moderate income households.
