Sistrunk Boulevard/ NE 6th Street Streetscape Project

This streetscape and urban design project is designed to restore Sistrunk Boulevard to its former prominence as the centerpiece of business, culture and activity in the City's Northwest community. The CRA hired Wallace, Roberts and Todd to create streetscape design and urban enhancements for Sistrunk Boulevard.

The concept to redesign and reconstruct the proposed improvements were vetted by various neighborhood groups, citizens and elected officials at the City and County level. The redesigned Sistrunk Boulevard will feature a three lane design (one lane westbound and two lanes eastbound), trees, landscaping, wide sidewalks and decorative lighting.

The N.E. 6th Street/Sistrunk Boulevard project will create a livable, workable, pedestrian-friendly street that will be a catalyst for future economic development opportunities and overall neighborhood revitalization.
