Sweeting Estates Residential Redevelopment

Sweeting Estates ImagesSweeting Estates Residential Redevelopment Aerial PhotoThe Sweeting neighborhood is bordered by Sistrunk Boulevard and the banks of the North Fork of the New River. A concentrated infill-housing program is underway and Bank of America has committed to building up to 50 single-family and townhouse units. Along the banks of the North Fork of the New River, Lennar Homes and Bob Young Builders are constructing 11 new single-family homes. The area has been master planned and the CRA is currently providing infrastructure upgrades, streetscape and landscaping improvements to enhance the area.

Sweeting Estates is located in close proximity to the African American Research Library and Cultural Center, Delevoe Park and the Negro Chamber of Commerce. Vacant parcels and commercial frontage bordering the area are prime locations for redevelopment activity.
