NIGP Best Practices Award for M/WBE Directory
The National Institute of Governmental Purchasing has recognized the City of Fort Lauderdale's Procurement Services as a distinguished finalist for the Best Practices Award for its on-line access to Minority/Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Directory.
The M/WBE Directory was awarded for being a new and innovative "best practice." The Directory was created to provide immediate access of a minority vendor list to City employees who obtain informal quotes for goods or services. Generally used by City employees through the Intranet, the Directory may be viewed here as well.
