Winners Announced for Light Up Lauderdale Downtown
Decorating Contest

Riverwalk Trust and the City of Fort Lauderdale Department of Parks and Recreation hosted the Light Up Lauderdale Downtown Decorating Awards judging for Downtown Fort Lauderdale residents and businesses on December 11, 2007.

Properties were judged on exterior presentation, creativity, overall effect and holiday spirit. Winners will receive a custom token presented at Winterfest’s Winners Circle in January and bragging rights for an entire year.

Winners were named in the following categories:

Best Overall: ESPLANADE ON THE NEW RIVER

Location Creative Award: AUTOMATIC SLIMS

Best Low Rise Building: BROWARD CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS

Best High-Rise Building: STILES – 301 E LAS OLAS BLVD.

Clark Griswald Award: BRINY’S PUB

Best Public Space: OLD FORT LAUDERDALE VILLAGE
