Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue remains vigilant to the mission of public safety.
A staff of over 450 dedicated personnel provides fire and rescue services to a diverse population. The Department utilizes many highly trained special operations teams to achieve its mission, including Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue, Dive Rescue, Marine Fire/Rescue, Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Medics, Fire Investigation, Fire Prevention and Inspections and Code Compliance.
The men and women of this organization are highly trained, dedicated and committed to providing services that can only be described as outstanding. They provide excellence in service through training, professionalism, efficiency and dedication.
Our primary goal is the protection of persons and property wherever, whenever and however that goal has to be accomplished.
