City of Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue Stations

The City of Fort Lauderdale runs the largest and busiest fire-rescue department in Broward County. In, 2011 the department responded to more than 42,000 calls for emergency service. The City operates 11 stations throughout Fort Lauderdale, including one in Wilton Manors. Many of the 382 sworn firefighters in the department are trained to provide emergency medical services and are part of specialized teams, such as Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, and Dive Rescue.
