Swimming Lessons
Infant Water Orientation
10 lessons/30 minutes/maximum 10
Class is designed for children from six months to three years of age.
Parent accompanies child in water; emphasis is placed on teaching both
child and parent basic aquatic and safety skills.
Level I
10 lessons/30minutes/minimum 6/maximum
12 for certain classes
For children 3 to 5 years of age. Basic skills include holding breath,
kicking floating, and simple stroke techniques are emphasized.
Level II
10 lessons/30 minutes/minimum 6/maximum 12
for certain classes
For children 4 years and older. Beginner skills include holding breath,
full submersion, and orientation to deep water, kicking on front and
back, turning over, and basic safety skills.
Level III
10 lessons/30 minutes/minimum 6
Prerequisite: successful completion of Level II skills. Skills include
object retrieval in chest deep water, diving from side of pool in kneeling
position, elementary backstroke, reverse direction, and basic safety
skills.

In order to register for summer swim lessons:

- Classes are filled on a first come, first served

Water Aerobics
Experience the amazing benefits of resistance training in our Olympic-size swimming pool. Join us for a workout that will tone your muscles and get your heart pumping. This class focuses on medium-paced aerobic exercises to minimize arthritic pain and increase aerobic activity.
Days: Sunday through Friday
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 10:00a.m
Cost: $5 per class; $35 for 10 classes
Sunday Shark Club
Explore and refine your child’s swimming skills through station games set up to optimize fun and learning.
Ages six months to six years. Classes take place in the covered instructional pool.
Parent must accompany child in the water. Play at your own pace.
Dates: Classes are held on Sundays
Times: 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Cost: $5 per class; $35 for 10 classes

100-Mile Swim Club
How long will it take you to swim from Fort Lauderdale to Islamorada? It is about 100 miles to swim from Fort Lauderdale to Islamorada. Record your daily swims and earn rewards when you reach your 100, 200 and 300 milestones.
100 Miles = Sammy Towel
200 Miles = Goggles
300 Miles = Plaque Honoree
1100-Mile Swim Club will begin January 1st. Miles will expire on December 31st of the same year.
Record your miles every day at the booth in the log book.
