Effective July 1, 2012: The City of Fort Lauderdale encourages newly hired employees to accept payment by direct deposit. All new hires will be asked to designate a financial institution where they would like their payroll checks to be directly deposited.

The Current Job Opportunities list for the City of Fort Lauderdale is updated weekly. If you see a position for which you would like to apply, be sure to follow the instructions carefully. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. You must submit a separate online application for each position for which you wish to be considered.
Résumés cannot be accepted in lieu of an official online application. Job applications, résumés, and pre- and post- job offer questionnaires must be made available for public inspection on request and cannot be kept confidential, according to Chapter 119, Florida Statutes.
