Youth Flag Football

The annual youth flag football season runs from August through October. The City of Fort Lauderdale's youth flag football program is a recreational league. The league is designed to emphasize fun, safety, skill development and sportsmanship.

Volunteer coaches are always needed and welcomed.

The City of Fort Lauderdale youth flag football program is for children between the ages of six to 14 and the peewee flag football program is for children four and five years old.

The peewee program is an instructional-based program designed for boys and girls four- and five-years-old. The basis of this program is to teach the fundamental skills of flag football, while developing motor skills and providing social interaction. This program consists of six weeks of one-hour sessions. Each session will involve hands-on instruction and game play. Each participant will receive a uniform and a trophy.

The youth flag football program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of six to 14 years old.
