The City of Fort Lauderdale City Commission is seeking applicants to their Community Appearance Board, Insurance Advisory Board, and the Short Term Residential Use Committee. All members must be residents of the city.
Community Appearance Board
Purpose: To present promotional, educational, and award programs and events which further efforts to improve the overall community appearance of the City of Fort Lauderdale. Acknowledge excellence in design, landscape and building property management.
Meeting Date: Second Wednesday 5:30 p.m.
Location: City Hall, 8th Floor Conference Room
Term: One year
The City Commission will consider applicants from the following professional categories: 1) licensed architect, 2) licensed landscape architect, 3) licensed interior designer as well as design and development professionals such as land planners, arborist, contractors, realtors, attorneys, etc.
Insurance Advisory Board
Purpose: Review all aspects of the City’s insurance program and needs and make recommendations to the City Commission thereon.
Meeting Date: First Wednesday, 8:00 a.m., unless otherwise noted.
Location: City Hall, 8th Floor Conference Room
Term: One year
Short Term Residential Use Committee
Purpose: Define parameters for use of residentially zoned property in light of protecting neighborhood tranquility and peaceful enjoyment of residential property. The committee shall make recommendations to the City Commission at such time as it is directed to do so by the City Commission.
Meeting Date: Fourth Thursday, 3:30 PM, unless otherwise noted
Location: City Hall, 8th Floor Conference Room
Term: One year
