A special tribute this year is on mentoring. All mentors and mentoring organizations are invited to participate and march along with school band and community floats. There is a $25 registration fee for motorized vehicles.

The tribute program will take place immediately following the parade. This free program features gifted motivational speaker Dalton Sherman of Dallas, Texas, who is just 11-years old. Also, Mzuri Moyo will perform her one-woman production of The Fanie Lou Hamer Story.
