Research and Budget Division

The Research and Budget Division of the Office of Management and Budget provides budgetary support services for all City departments, in the development of the Annual Budget; prepares revenue and expenditure projections, maintains a Budget Preparation Guide, implement budget monitoring and controls, focusing on long-range forecast, trend analysis, the development of strategic planning.

Distinguished Budget Presentation Award

The Government Finance Officers of the United States & Canada (GFOA) (www.gfoa.org) has awarded the City of Fort Lauderdale the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the since 1988. This award reflects the commitment of the organization and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting and satisfies nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation.
