Development Review Committee
The purpose of Development Review Committee (DRC) is for various City departments to complete a technical review of proposed development and provide written comments for the applicant. Types of development requests include, but are not limited to,:
- Vacations of Streets and Alleys
- Site Plan Reviews
- Developments of Regional Impact (DRI)
- Land Use Plan Amendments
- Ordinance Amendments
- Plat Approvals
- Rezonings with Flex Allocation
- Public Purpose Use Approvals
- Conditional Use Approvals
- Parking Reduction Requests
DRC meetings occur on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. In order for a proposed development to be placed on a DRC agenda, applicants must submit a correct and complete application package. DRC applications are available online. Projects will be placed on the next available DRC agenda, in the order that they are received.
DRC members include representatives from the following entities: Airport, Building, Engineering, Fire, Information Technology, Landscape, Parking, Parks & Recreation, Planning, Police, Public Works/Solid Waste, Recycling, WaterWorks 2011, Zoning. Although you may wait to receive your DRC comments at the scheduled meeting, it is strongly recommended that you review the comments beforehand. Please call the Planning & Zoning Department at 954-828-6531 on the Monday before the meeting after 12:00 noon to check if your DRC comments are ready for pick-up.
