NOTE: HPB meetings are usually held on the first Monday of each month. Applications are due nine days prior to completed sets being due. Application deadlines are in parentheses below the meeting dates.

The Historic Preservation Board (HPB) is an advisory board and members are appointed by the Mayor and City Commissioners for three year terms. They meet the first Monday of each month at city hall.

The purpose of the Historic Preservation Board is to implement the City’s historic preservation regulations, which promote the cultural, economic, educational and general welfare of the people of the city and of the public generally through the preservation and protection of historically or architecturally worthy structures.

In order for a proposed application to be placed on the HPB agenda, applicants must submit a correct and complete application package. HPB applications and HPB agendas are available online. Application deadlines are approximately one month before the meeting dates.
