| Responsibilities: | Raul Diaz has served the Fort Lauderdale Police Department since November of 1989. Raul has been assigned to the Patrol Division as a Patrol Officer, Patrol Supervisor and Shift Captain. He also served in the Special Investigations Division and Operation Support Division as the Division Commander and Executive Officer to the Chief of Operations. He served as a SWAT Team member, Explosive Detection K-9 handler and Bomb Squad Commander. Raul has received 20 departmental commendations and 34 public commendations including Officer of the Month twice and holds a Bachelors of Professional Studies Degree from Barry University and a Masters of Science Degree form Lynn University. Raul has also served as a Captain in the US Air Force. Raul’s new assignment is Major of District III. |
