| History: | Major Williams is a veteran of the United States Army. After an honorable discharge he served a short period of time as a Federal Corrections Officer at FCI Tallahassee. During his 15 years with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department he has served in the Patrol Division, Community Policing Initiative Unit, Criminal Investigations Division, Community Support Division, Office of the Chief, Operations Shift Commander, and most recently as an Executive Officer in the Patrol Division of the Operations Bureau. He currently serves as the District Commander of District Two in the Operations Bureau. He has received 12 Departmental commendations and 20 public commendations for his commitment to making a difference in the community. |
