City of Fort Lauderdale Announces 29th Annual Community Appearance Award Winners

Fort Lauderdale - Celebrating residential and business properties that “promote aesthetic value to the community,” the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Community Appearance Board cited 18 properties for awards at their 29th annual event Tuesday night at City Hall.
In the broad category of Special Projects, Banyan Air Service at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport took top honors for building design and construction. The Lone Sailor statue on New River won the non-building category.
Other winners include the Antique Car Museum for renovation; George English Tennis Center for parks; Seven Corners on N.E. 7th Street for multi-family residence, low-rise; and, Avenue Lofts for multi-family, high-rise.
This year's event was sponsored by the City of Fort Lauderdale, Equitable Bank, HDR, Castelli Real Estate Services and Barranco Gonzalez architecture.
