S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge to Reopen Oct. 29

Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale announced today (Thursday, October 25, 2007) that repair work on the S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge has been completed. The City Engineer has recommended that the bridge can reopen on Monday, October 29, 2007.

When the bridge reopens, the 5 ton weight limit and 15 mph speed limit will remain in effect and will be strictly enforced.

Vehicles that exceed the 5 ton weight limit should use an alternate route to access neighborhoods adjacent to the bridge.

Motorists may access the areas via Broward Boulevard at SW 18th Avenue or via Davie Boulevard at SW 15th Avenue.
