S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge to Close March 11 - 12

Fort Lauderdale - The The S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11 and continuing through Wednesday, March 12, 2008.

The temporary bridge closure is necessary to allow work crews to install new gate arms. Marine and pedestrian traffic will not be affected by the closure.

The installation work is expected to be completed (weather permitting) and the bridge is expected to reopen at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008.

Signage will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the impeding bridge closure.

While the work is taking place, traffic will be detoured to S.W. 7th / S.W. 4th Avenue. Motorists may also access the neighborhoods adjacent to the bridge via Broward Boulevard at S.W. 18th Avenue or Davie Boulevard at S.W. 15th Avenue.
