S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge to Temporarily Close on May 20

Fort Lauderdale - The S.W. 11th Avenue Swing Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The temporary bridge closure is necessary to allow work crews to install new mechanical parts for the bridge’s opening mechanism.

Signage will be posted in the area to alert motorists of the impeding bridge closure.

While the work is taking place, traffic will be detoured to S.W. 7th / S.W. 4th Avenue. Motorists may also access the neighborhoods adjacent to the bridge via Broward Boulevard at S.W. 18th Avenue or Davie Boulevard at S.W. 15th Avenue.
