Intermittent Lane Closures along NW 7 Street and NW 19 Avenue to Begin May 21

Fort Lauderdale - Staging activities are underway for construction work that will take place on N.W. 7 Street between N.W. 19 and 20 Avenues and on N.W. 19 Avenue between N.W. 6 and 7 Streets.

Beginning May 21, 2008, construction crews will perform swale replacement work in the public right-of-ways along both streets. The work, part of a soil removal and remediation project, will take place from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and is expected to be completed within 30 days.

No detours are expected; however, motorists should expect temporary delays and intermittent lane closures throughout the duration of the project. All traffic restrictions will be clearly marked with approach signage and barricades. Flagmen will be on site to direct traffic around the construction zone.
