Fort Lauderdale - Beginning at 7:00 am through 11:00 pm, Southeast 5th Street will be closed between A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard on Friday, July 4, 2008.

For traffic calming purposes, the turnaround at Seabreeze and the South Beach Parking lot may be closed periodically throughout the day to allow for ease of traffic flow.

Motorists should be aware that once the fireworks display is completed all traffic from the South Beach Parking Lot area will be directed north past East Las Olas Boulevard to either Vista Mar or Bayshore Drive. The traffic lights on A1A will flash to allow for a continuous traffic flow with police representatives located at each intersection to ensure safety measures are followed by motorists during their exit from the days festivities.
