Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale has launched the Neighborhood Development Criteria Revisions, a citywide planning initiative designed to preserve and protect neighborhoods by creating a vision to guide future development.

Public workshops will take place in each City Commission District May 11 - 14, 2009 to provide an overview of the project's goals, objectives, timelines and scope of work.

Topics to be covered will include: identifying issues related to neighborhood development; creating a vision for future neighborhood development; making recommendations for new guidelines to preserve neighborhood character; and protecting neighborhoods from over development.
