Fort Lauderdale - In celebration of Water Conservation Month, the City of Fort Lauderdale is partnering with Broward County’s Natural Resources Planning & Management Division and the South Florida Water Management District to offer a Know the Flow water conservation workshop. This free, educational workshop will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 on the first floor of Fort Lauderdale City Hall, located at 100 N. Andrews Avenue.
The Know the Flow workshop includes a short presentation followed by a question and answer session and is geared toward helping Fort Lauderdale citizens save and protect our valuable water resources. Topics for the workshop include the history of South Florida’s water management systems, citizens’ role in water conservation, Florida-friendly landscaping practices, and the preservation of local waterways. There will also be a variety of educational materials available to assist citizens with doing their part to protect our environment.

Complimentary parking for the workshop is available after 6 p.m. on the first floor of the City Hall Parking Garage, which is located between N.E. 1st and N.E. 2nd Street, just east of Andrews Avenue.
