Fort Lauderdale - The City Commission has selected internationally renowned Pop Artist Charles Fazzino as the Official Artist to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the City of Fort Lauderdale in 2011. Charles Fazzino will create a signature Centennial painting that will celebrate Fort Lauderdale’s, past, present and future.

Mayor Jack Seiler is excited that Charles Fazzino will be the Official Artist of Fort Lauderdale’s Centennial celebration, “His festive style is uniquely suited to celebrate the magic of Fort Lauderdale and capture the past ten decades of this City’s rich and diverse history.”

Charles Fazzino stated, "I am honored to have been selected as the Official Artist to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the City of Fort Lauderdale in 2011. I am thrilled that I will be able to commemorate the very exciting history and diversity of Fort Lauderdale. It is my hope that residents, businesses, and visitors alike, will share in the celebration and excitement of Fort Lauderdale’s 100th birthday through my artwork.”
