Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale, in consultation with the Broward County Health Department, Broward County Development and Environmental Regulation Division, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, has lifted the precautionary advisory for inland recreational waters in the following Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods:

  1. Harbor Beach
  2. Harbor Drive
  3. Harbordale
  4. Harbour Inlet
  5. Lauderdale Harbours
  6. Rio Vista

Bacteriological test results indicate the recreational waters in these neighborhoods are clear for fishing, swimming, jet skiing, and other water-related activities.

The health advisory was issued on August 18 following a 54” sewer line break on the 1800 block of Cordova Road.
