Santa Lands on Fort Lauderdale Beach on Dec. 19

Fort Lauderdale - Don’t miss Santa Claus’ traditional candy giveaway along Fort Lauderdale Beach on Monday, December 19, 2011, at approximately 12:45 p.m. Santa Claus and his elves will walk along Fort Lauderdale Beach to hand out candy canes and holiday treats to beachgoers.

Santa’s route will begin at noon at the City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation administration building, located at 1350 West Broward Boulevard. He will take the following route to the beach:

  • East on Broward Boulevard to SW Seventh Avenue
  • South on SW Seventh Avenue to SW Second Street
  • East on SW Second Street to Andrews Avenue
  • South on Andrews Avenue to Las Olas Boulevard
  • East on Las Olas Boulevard to A1A
  • South on A1A to the beach across from the Oasis Café

Santa will begin passing out treats on Fort Lauderdale Beach at Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, which is located across from the Oasis Café, at 1100 Seabreeze Boulevard.
