Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale Public Works Department, in consultation with the Broward County Public Health Department, HAS ISSUED A PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE for all City of Fort Lauderdale water customers, as well as customers in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Oakland Park, Port Everglades Authority, Village of Sea Ranch Lakes, Wilton Manors and sections of Davie and Tamarac.

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice is being issued as a result of a water main break on N.E. 38th Street between N.E. 5th and N.E. 6th Avenues. City of Fort Lauderdale crews are currently making repairs to the broken water line. Customers are expected to be without water service through the overnight hours.

ONCE WATER SERVICE IS RESTORED, THE PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

All tap water used for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking or other consumption should be brought to a rapid boil for at least one minute. Tap water is okay to use as is for washing and bathing.
