Fort Lauderdale – The free Business Educational Seminar Series hosted by the City of Fort Lauderdale and the Northwest Flagler Street CRA will kick off the New Year with the all-important topic of Business Financing.
On Wednesday, January 11, 2012, presenters from the Small Business Association, Accion, Metro Broward, and Partners for Self-Employment, South Florida Regional Planning Council, as well as Bank United, will talk to business owners on various strategies to finance their businesses. The seminar/workshop will be held at the Holiday Park Social Center, located at 1150 G. Harold Drive (across from the tennis courts).
If you are a business owner or a prospective business owner, you don’t want to miss this session. The business education series has been in existence since 2009. Just to name a few, the series have boasted such topics as “So You Want to Start Your Own Business, “Writing and Effective Business Plan,” Website Design and Social Media Marketing, taught by experts in their respective fields -- attorneys, accountants, professors, bankers, webmasters, etc. Over the years, attendance has amounted to over 400 participants, and the number continues to grow.
The Business Seminar Series was created to help the business owner respond to the economic downturn, and to get the information necessary to start or expand one’s business. The City of Fort Lauderdale is committed to helping another of our neighbors, the business community by investing in this business education series.
