City of Fort Lauderdale Issues Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Two Block Area in East Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale Public Works Department, in consultation with the Broward County Public Health Department, HAS ISSUED A PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE (PBWN) for all City of Fort Lauderdale water customers in a two block area in eastern Fort Lauderdale. The boundaries for the PBWN are as follows:
- Northern boundary – N.E. 29th Street
- Southern boundary – N.E. 28th Street
- Eastern boundary – the west side of A1A/N. Ocean Boulevard
- Western boundary – Intracoastal Waterway
The PBWN is being issued as a result of a 6-inch water main break that occurred on N.E. 33rd Avenue between N.E. 28th and N.E. 29th Streets this afternoon.
THE PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE WILL BE IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
All tap water used for drinking, brushing teeth, cooking or other consumption should be brought to a rapid boil for at least one minute. Tap water is okay to use as is for washing and bathing.
