Fort Lauderdale – Vice Mayor Bobby B. DuBose will host a night of medical history at the Elks Lodge - 712 NW 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL - Monday, February 27, 2012 from 6:30 pm.
A Walk through History honors those who came before us and realizes the future and its awesome potential. Event-goers will have the opportunity to meet "actual walking history" in the person of the City’s 2012 Honored Founder, Dr. Calvin Shirley; participate in exercise vignettes; take part in mini health screenings; learn easy ways to prepare healthy dishes; and obtain up-to-date health and medical tips.
Join Vice Mayor DuBose and experience the past through photos, and stories as we pay tribute to those who paved the way for equal medical rights not only in the City of Fort Lauderdale but in Broward County and the State of Florida.
