Fort Lauderdale - The City of Fort Lauderdale will host a workshop to receive input from residents and business owners on how to improve Broward Boulevard. The workshop is open to the public and will take place on Saturday, August 4, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Abdo New River Room at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, 201 SW 5th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312.
At the workshop, attendees will work in small groups facilitated by a team of architects and urban designers to develop and prioritize ideas they would like to see implemented on Broward Boulevard. Areas of interest include land use, redevelopment and mobility.

The project will provide alternatives for improving mobility, accessibility, connectivity and quality of life along Broward Boulevard. The project area is nearly 2.7 miles in length and extends from NE 8th Avenue to the east, NE 4th Street to the north, NW 27th Avenue to the west and shall include all commercial properties south of Broward Boulevard to the New River from NW 27th Avenue to NE 8th Avenue.
