About Our Online Auction

The City of Fort Lauderdale periodically disposes of surplus City vehicles, heavy equipment, scientific equipment, and miscellaneous office and computer equipment through online auctions. All property is sold "as is" and "where is." The City makes no warranty or guarantee to the condition, year of manufacture, model number, or operation of any unit of property. All sales are final.

Online Auction

The City of Fort Lauderdale, as a casual seller, is selling surplus vehicles and other City property via an online public auction. The auction closes on Tuesday, August 31st, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., EST. Please visit www.renebates.com to participate. All property will be sold "as is" and "where is." The City makes no warranty or guarantee to the condition, year of manufacture, model number or operation of any unit of property. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. THE TERMS ARE CASH ONLY.

Terms: All items MUST be removed by September 15, 2010. No Saturday or Sunday removal. No removal on September 6th. If you can not remove auction items within this allotted time frame, please do not bid on the auction items. There will be no exceptions or extensions to the removal date. Once the on-line payment has been made in full and you have received a confirmation of your payment, please go to the Fleet Services Office, located at 220 SW 14 Avenue, behind the Police Department on 1300 W. Broward Blvd., to complete the proper paperwork between the hours of 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. This paperwork will authorize you to remove your items at the fleet yard. The City of Fort Lauderdale DOES NOT provide transportation or loading services for buyers to remove their merchandise. Any and all methods of lifting, towing & hauling are the buyer's responsibility. The ownership of any items left or not paid for by the final day of removal will revert back to the City of Fort Lauderdale, FL and the buyer may be banned from future auctions.

Vehicle Inspection date: Thursday, August 26 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm at The City's Fleet yard, located at 220 SW 14th Avenue. The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida does allow for vehicles to be started as well as allowing potential bidders to look under the hood, etc.during inspections.

You will not be invoiced for the items you have purchased until the entire online auction is over.

Abandoned Evidence, Miscellaneous and Confiscated Property

Abandoned evidence and miscellaneous property household items, small electronics, cell phones, jewelry, and other abandoned evidence will be sold at www.propertyroom.com.
