General Seated Event Information
The following is general information pertaining to
any seated event held at War Memorial Auditorium.
Our 2110 seat facility can conform to many seating
arrangements in addition to the ones illustrated in
this guide.
War Memorial Auditorium (W.M.A.) is affiliated with
the computerized Ticketmaster ticketing system. Arrangements
for the inclusion of your event on the system must
be made through W.M.A. management. The W.M.A. may
offer tickets for sale at all of its approved ticket
outlets, thus providing multiple locations for the
sale of your event's tickets. Lessees may request
additional agencies, subject to W.M.A. approval, for
ticket sales, and Lessee will be held responsible
for collection of funds from any of the requested
and approved agencies. All admission ticket sales
are subject to a 6% State of Florida Admissions Tax
and will be collected and paid by W.M.A. If W.M.A.
does not sell admission tickets, the Lessee will be
solely responsible for all tax liabilities. Box office
fees are determined by building management and Ticketmaster.
All event publicity/advertising should include the
Ticketmaster logo and charge-by-phone numbers.
The issuing of complimentary tickets to events will
be limited to five (5) percent of capacity or as dictated
by prudent business practices. Additionally, W.M.A.
will retain a minimum of twenty (20) tickets for each
show day/performance for its own use.
In compliance with A.D.A., an appropriate number
of seats will be designated by W.M.A. management as
reserved for patrons with special needs.
At least one intermission of 15 minutes is required
between each session or act.
The building receives either a flat fee for the privilege
of selling records, programs, novelties, etc. or twenty-five
percent (25%) of total net sales. We also collect
six percent (6%) sales tax and pay it to the State
of Florida.
Additional fees may be assessed for rehearsals. Also,
being that we are a multi-purpose facility, if a seat
move is necessary to accomplish the deemed seating
for your event, it will be done at the expense of
the Lessee and at the discretion of W.M.A. management.
Stagehands are provided by I.A.T.S.E. Local 500.
That means that this is a union stage crew. Contracted
stagehands will be responsible for all stage/electrical
related work in the facility. They are also required
to operate all of the building's stage equipment.
The number of stagehands will be determined by the
nature of the event and the agreement in effect
between
the facility and the union.
Ushers/Ticket Takers/Cashiers are provided by the
facility in sufficient numbers to provide for the
safety, convenience and security of those in attendance.
W.M.A. management will determine the proper number
of ushers/ticket takers/cashiers that are required
at each event.
