Important War Memorial Auditorium Insurance Information
When planning a show or concert at War Memorial Auditorium,
one of the most important items is your insurance.
You must have the proper coverage in order for your
event to proceed. You must also allow enough time
for your agent to seek bids and get you the proper
coverage at the best possible price.
Your insurance requirement in the contract states
the following:
The lessee is required to furnish to the lessor,
one week prior to date of performance, a landlords'
and tenants' public liability policy to the extent
of not less than $500,000 to cover claim of damage
for any single or specific cause for any one person,
and to the extent of $1,000,000 to cover any particular
accident or occurrence, together with coverage of
property damage in the amount not less than $100,000.
The city of fort lauderdale, a municipal corporation
of florida, shall be named in the policy as an additional
insured, along with yourself as lessee. Lessee agrees
to indemnify and hold harmless the lessor for all
costs and expenses arising out of any claims for personal
injuries, including death, and any claims for property
damage sustained by any person including, but not
limited to, employees of the lessee arising out of
the use of the subject premises pursuant to this contract.
The War Memorial Auditorium is the certificate holder,
but the coverage is not complete unless we are named
as an additional insured. The certificate may say
either:
- Additional insured, City of Fort Lauderdale,
or
- Additional Insured, Certificate Holder
