Welcome
The newly-remodeled War Memorial Auditorium (W.M.A.) is a multi-purpose
facility owned and operated by the City of
Fort
Lauderdale. The W.M.A. was built in 1949 and opened
to the public on January 14, 1950. The lobby
area, with its ornate marble, bronze statue,
wall plaques and floor seal, is a commemoration
of World War II, Korean and Vietnam War
veterans, thus the naming of the building, "War
Memorial Auditorium."

We have an excellent location in
downtown Fort Lauderdale, just minutes from one
of
the world's most famous beaches. The auditorium has
20,000 square feet of potential exhibit space,
able to
accommodate
up to 125 8'x10' booths. A large outdoor display area is
also available. We have over 330 banquet tables.
We
also have the capability to seat 2110 for any seated
concerts, seminars, lectures, graduations, family
shows, boxing bouts, wrestling matches, and other events.
We are pleased that you are considering
the War Memorial Auditorium for your event. After
reviewing the information provided here, please feel
free to call us with any questions you may have.
W.M.A.'s
administrative
offices are open Monday-Friday, except holidays,
from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We look forward to working
with you to make your event a pleasant experience
and a great success.
