The City of Fort Lauderdale has drafted updates to the Unified Land Development Regulations related to the H-1 Himmarshee Village Historic Preservation District and to the Code of Ordinances section on the Special Entertainment Districts. These proposed changes are intended to preserve the area’s historic and architectural character while guiding future redevelopment within the district. The draft amendments were developed in response to community feedback received at the Himmarshee Revitalization Plan Open House held on November 13, 2023.
