Broward County Spraying Section of Fort Lauderdale to Reduce Mosquito Larvae June 11-15

Due to the heavy rains projected throughout the week, it is necessary to extend the time needed to complete the truck-larviciding of the five areas mentioned below. The new dates are now June 11-15, 2019.
BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Recent heavy rains are prompting the need for the Mosquito Control Section to spray several areas of the County to reduce the mosquito larvae population. The mosquito being targeted is the Aedes Aegypti, a known disease carrying mosquito. Preventive truck larviciding will be proactively performed between the hours of 10PM and 6 AM, weather permitting, on June 11-12, 2019. The areas being targeted are portions of Dania Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miramar and Pembroke Pines. See below for maps of the spray areas.
