Fort Lauderdale, FL – The City of Fort Lauderdale, in conjunction with Gridics, LLC, has launched the 3D Development Projects Module within the Gridics Municipal Zoning Platform. The updated application includes the City’s Code of Ordinances and Unified Land Development Regulations. Citizens will now be able to access an up-to-date and fully digitized version of the code text, plus an interactive 3D zoning map and parcel-specific tools to look up zoning and property record data. With its unique technology, Gridics gives municipalities the ability to establish a zoning property record data set for every parcel in one comprehensive zoning code management platform. The 3D Projects Module will help City staff and citizens solve common planning and zoning issues by:
- Unifying 3D interactive zoning maps and code text in one easy-to-use interface.
- Providing online citizen self-help tools to reduce front counter zoning inquiries.
- Allowing municipal staff to quickly view citywide development potential and visualize 3D scenarios.
The Module also allows residents, real estate developers, and other interested parties to view 3D models of development projects that have been submitted to the Fort Lauderdale Development Review Committee. Projects are presented citywide within the 3D zoning map, giving the viewer an understanding of the review and approval status and how the city landscape will change with the addition of new developments.
The combination of Gridics’ patented 3D zoning scenario analysis engine and tech-enabled professional services is a natural fit for the City of Fort Lauderdale and supports its ongoing mission of increasing transparency, maximizing efficiency, and delivering forward-looking citizen services.
