Introducing Paperless Permitting

Post Date:January 26, 2024 2:58 PM

Effective January 1, 2024, the Development Services Department (DSD) will no longer accept paper permit applications or plans for new submissions.

Permit applications and other documents or submittals that were previously filed in person cannot be converted to digital submissions. This means that changes and updates for those permits must be made in person at DSD.

New permit applications will only be accepted via LauderBuild. The LauderBuild Plan Room (LPR) allows neighbors to use a Citizen’s Access portal to upload their documents and check the progress of the digital plan review process for their project. LPR provides greater transparency for customers with user-friendly, enhanced commenting and tracking capabilities. Project collaborators will have real-time, remote access to the status of submittals and reviews allowing more flexibility with their time.

DSD staff can reserve an application number so the customer can upload the permit application and plans. Neighbors will need to log into their LauderBuild account or Register for an Account to complete the application.
