With hurricane season underway, the City of Fort Lauderdale is committed to helping you prepare and protect your homes. To support our community, we are offering sandbags to residents and staffing locations every Saturday throughout the season.

Staffed Sandbag Pickup Schedule:

Every Saturday

Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Locations:

Floyd Hull Stadium (2800 SW 8th Ave)

Mills Pond Park (2201 NW 9th Ave)

Residents can visit the designated sandbag locations during the above hours to receive assistance from our staff.

Additionally, sand will be available every day during the following hours at both locations for self-service for those who bring their own sandbags and shovels.

Self-Serve Schedule:

Daily, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Important Information:

- Proof of residency is required to receive sandbags.

- There is a limit of five bags per vehicle.

This program aims to provide you with the necessary resources to protect your property against potential flooding and storm damage.
