There will be a temporary shutdown of the Peele Dixie Water Treatment Plant for maintenance activity from November 4 through November 10. Residents will not experience any interruptions to their water service.

WHY: Staff will be conducting a pre-maintenance activity at the Fort Lauderdale Country Club wellfield

- During this maintenance period, residents of the southwest and southeast sections of the City who normally receive their water from the Peele Dixie WTP will temporarily receive water from the Fiveash WTP.
- As a result, they may notice a slight change in the color of the water. This is primarily due to the difference in treatment process and technology used at each plant. The drinking water produced by the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant, which uses lime softening and has a slightly different color than water produced at the Peele Dixie Water Treatment Plant. The Peele Dixie facility uses advanced reverse osmosis technology.
- Please be assured that all water produced by the Fiveash Water Treatment Plant is safe to drink and meets all primary drinking water standards.
