The City of Fort Lauderdale has developed a project with the Poinsettia Heights and Lake Ridge neighborhoods to improve mobility for all users on NE 15th Avenue between Sunrise Boulevard and the South Fork of the Middle River. The project aims to create a consistent street design connecting to Wilton Manors. This project is one of the priority corridors identified in the Lake Ridge Neighborhood Mobility Master Plan and an important connection for the Poinsettia Heights Civic Association.

A pilot project was installed in 2022 as a test for the planned improvements through short term tactical means. This process allows data to be collected and challenges realized that can be addressed during the design of the final hardscape project.
