Sewer Pipe Inspection in Dolphin Isles, Central Beach and Lauderdale Beach

Post Date:December 08, 2025 4:25 PM

Construction Update (December 8, 2025)

Additional sewer pipes in the area have been added to the inspection list. Inspections will resume on Monday, December 15 and are expected to be completed by February 27, 2026. Inspections will take place Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change based on inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Traffic Impacts

  • Temporary lane closures are expected along neighborhood streets during work hours as crews access the sewer pipes through manholes within the road.
  • Traffic control personnel will direct traffic as needed. Access to driveways will be maintained.
  • Please follow posted signs and drive with caution in the area.

Recommendations for Neighbors

Neighbors will be notified at least 3 days in advance of inspections on their particular street. The following actions will help reduce the likelihood of any impacts related to this work:

  • Keep toilet lids closed and pour 1 gallon of water down all floor drains or any rarely used sinks, tubs and toilets to ensure that a water barrier is maintained in the traps.
  • Remove your cleanout cap in the morning and replace it at night to reduce the possibility of water pushing out of toilets and onto the bathroom floor from any back pressure that may occur in the sewer main.

Thank you for your patience as we complete this important work.
